In the highlands of Ecuador, Fundación Mashcana works to empower the indigenous people. They provide zero-interest microloans and lead workshops that teach the locals necessary skills. These are tools of entrepreneurship like: how to build brick ovens, creating permaculture gardens that grow ancestral food, and solar power installation.
